WordPress plugin 2.2: a private credential per site, a redesigned dashboard, and your statement in one click
Plugin 2.2.0 and 2.2.1 are live on WordPress.org. Each site gets its own private credential for AllAccessible, set up automatically. The overview is one health card with one next action, scans run from the dashboard with live progress, and an Accessibility Statement guide creates, publishes, and links your statement page.
Update first
Approving, editing, or reverting fixes and image descriptions from inside WordPress now requires 2.2.0 or later. Auto-updaters already have it. Otherwise: Plugins β Updates. Sites on 2.1.x keep their widget, scores, and read-only views in the meantime.
Stronger site connection
Each WordPress site now holds its own private credential for AllAccessible, set up automatically on update. Unique to that site, revocable for that site alone. Thanks to kta1kri for the responsible report that prompted it.
A dashboard that answers "is my site OK?"
- One health card says it in plain words, flags when the score covers only part of your site or the last scan is stale, and offers one clear next action.
- Scan from the dashboard, with live progress. If a scan cannot start, the plugin tells you why.
- At-a-glance tiles: fixes live on your site, items waiting for a person, images with alt text, pageviews.
- Agentic Fixes and Image AI share the same status-first layout; the free preview is clearly labeled.
- Getting Started is a numbered checklist with the next action inline.
- Looks right on a phone. Other plugins' notices stay out of our header. Better contrast throughout.
Accessibility Statement guide
Create your statement from the plugin, publish it as a page or save a draft, and link it so the widget footer points visitors to it. Already have a statement page? We ask before creating anything. The setup wizard includes this step, and a gentle reminder appears until a page is linked.
2.2.1, the same week
- What's new, inside the plugin. A short release-notes dialog after each update, reopenable from the What's new button.
- Refresh from AllAccessible. One button updates your statement page to the current wording, keeps your contact details, and leaves the previous version in revisions.
- All 17 admin languages complete.
Also since 2.1.8
- The widget keeps working as the free widget if the account link ever goes stale. Reconnect from Account any time.
- Scan this page now in the editor for pages that have never been scanned.
- Hide the widget button on phones, and an icon picker that shows every icon as a tile.
- Approve a fix and land on the Approved tab, with both the plugin and the dashboard showing whether approved fixes have reached your site.
